Posted 5/03/2010.... Yet again, another successful and fun Ultimate league in beautiful Boone has come to an end!
Congrats to the 2010 BUA Showdown Champions....White Lightning for pulling the classic underdog move! You all were clearly on a mission and we are all happy for you!
Brown, who played savage ALL day came in a close second and deserves some props for playing your hearts out!
As for the other teams, we all put up a good fight! I'm not sure about you all, but i'm ready for another shot at it!

Posted 4/21/2010....Two weeks remaining of Spring League and man has it been a blast! Pick-up on Thursdays at 6:00pm in Valle Crucis and Sundays at 2:00pm at Brookshire park has begun so come on out and invite a friend; ALL experience levels are welcome! Also, plans are in the works for Summer League and BooneShakalaka 2010 so stay tuned for more details!

Posted 2/03/10.....Next week, Thursday Feb. 11th, the BUA Commission will be meeting on oak street @ 7:00 to discuss 2010 Boone Ultimate Frisbee matters. All are welcome to attend! Information on Spring League coming soon....

Posted 1/09/09... come jan. 14th, the BUA Commission will be meeting on oak street @7:30 to discuss 2009 BUA matters, including discs, league, etc. if you want to be part of the Commission, then, well... you're part of the Commission.
Posted 11/25/08... greetings BUA earthlings and congratulations to Agent Orange who went on a tear in valle crucis on sunday to win the BUA fall league shakedown. Black Plague played strong in the finals, but were a bit worn after pulling the upset and overcoming Team White in the semi-finals. the Purple Pancake Posse battled, but succumbed to Blu-AH in the chUmpionship. Team Green showed up nicely going 1-1 in pool play, but lost to Orange in the semis... after playing ultimate and throwing snowballs all day - dance, darts, and kiwi games commenced at the shakedown party. oh yeah, and the Highland Winter Brew was unbelievably tasty!
Posted 10/15/08... ohh, it's on! the fall league shakedown is underway. the table is set and team purple, led by snaggie maggie, is the 1st to feast. their 2-0 record was the only such record posted on day 1. it was a stellar sunday in valle crucis - where boone ultimate immortals will be molded this fall. remember, friday the 17th is the very last day for shakedown latecomers to be added.

Posted 7/16/08... only thing we know for certain is that green is going to be battling in the ChUmpionship on the July 31st. unlucky, but remember to put your beer in a cup while watching the finals! red and black are in a serious battle to stay alive and compete against blue or white for the right to play in the finals... also, blue or white will get an automatic bid into the finals by being the #1 seed. white can take this honor from blue if: 1.) white beats black in the 1st round and 2.) white beats blue not allowing them to score more than 6 points.
Posted 6/26/08... this thursday we will begin the 2nd half of league play and the stage is being set for a stirring finish to the Summer League Showdown... will Cav, Lillian, and the rest of the White Team continue on their
road of dominance? will Weston, Alissa, and Red Team be able to bounce back from a jagged start and snag a win? Black and Blue (do you remember spring league finals?) really beat up on each other last thursday with Black finding victory after Blue opened up with a zone d that had initially put them up 3-0. ohhhh, that 1st round cap is
vicious! after a tough 1st round, Dave, Emily and the Green Team secured a nice win on thursday...
Posted 6/11/08... it was a killer summer league draft on tuesday night (6/10/08) at ewoo's house. dave king's team was able to snag zach aka zoco for the number 1 guy pick. remember, he was nominated for the spring league mvp, an honor which cav, now a captain for summer league, and mike martin (on summer hiatus) ultimately won. other 1st round draft picks... daniel "the mullet" east, young jordan, eric "the dinosaur" frauman, and big japanese speaking george. ewoo was suckered into getting the last 1st round draft pick of the fellas, but got 'em back quickly when he negotiated for the #1 lady draft pick... without hesitation he scooped up maggie - wicked pick ewoo! other 1st round lady picks include... mar, alissa, nicole, and lillian.
...from here, much crazy talked commenced. including dave alexander's rant about how he should of been picked before so and so... supposedly there is going to be a meeting at BUA headquarters regarding the ability of dave to attend future league drafts...
